WHAT IS MIXING & MASTERING?

Mixing is the process of combining multiple audio tracks into a final stereo mix, adjusting the levels, panning, and effects to create a cohesive sound. It involves balancing the individual elements of a recording, such as vocals, drums, and instruments, to create a well-blended and polished sound.

Mastering is the final step in the production process, where the mixed stereo track is further refined and optimized for playback across different systems and platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, etc.). It involves making final adjustments to the overall volume, EQ, compression, and other sonic elements, in order to achieve a consistent and balanced sound across different playback devices. The goal is to enhance the overall sound quality, while ensuring that it translates well to different listening environments.
